| Joint Health |
Problems such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and gout can all cause joint pain limiting mobility, making life feel very uncomfortable. There are some very effective Ayurvedic remedies that can slow and even reverse these types of problems.
The joints require a continual supply of blood and regenerating nutrients to remain healthy. If there is any obstruction to circulation, any deficiency in nutrient supply or too much wear and tear to prevent regeneration then the joints may suffer with any of the above symptoms. Poor blood supply can occur if there is any obstruction to circulation, as in arterial obstructions, poor venous circulation or a weak heart. A deficiency in nutrients can come from eating the wrong diet or having an under functioning digestive system. The treatment is to promote circulation and strengthen digestion and this helps to reduce inflammation and stop pain.
A warning about Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): Aspirin like compounds are known to damage mucus membranes (i.e. lining the digestive tract causing bleeding), cartilage and the joints and whilst they may sometimes be useful for preventing pain do not treat the cause of the problem.
